Windows 8, the next incarnation of Microsoft’s operating system is will land

on the retail shelves on October 26. And with that the market waves are reportedly changing

toward the debut of slew of Windows 8 powered tablets by all major manufacturers.

The newest in this list is the Japanese manufacturer Sony,

which is prepping a VAIO hybrid with an 11-inch display enthrusted with Windows 8 OS and

a couple of really innovative featurea.


the official press photos of the device have been leaked,

showing a 11 inch Windows 8 convertible.

The report states,

== Judging from some additional images, we have noticed that the keyboard is backlit,

so this device is definitely geared at a more professional level. The design does resemble

Microsoft’s surface retractable stand, but the keyboard is not an optional accessory

you can just detach, which may be good for some and not for others.== 


There are no details regarding the specifications and release date of

the device as far yet. However, the photos show that the convertible runs on Windows Pro

(rather than Windows RT) as it shows the Microsoft Office interface.

Moreover, the Vaio Duo 11 resembles a prototype, which was showcased by Sony at the Consumer Electronics

Show 2012 in January. Still, it is not clear if Sony will unveil this device at the IFA this week

or will wait for the official release of Windows 8 in October.
