The tech media world hardly known that there was a short-lived
Apple OS X tablet prior to the iPad, which was manufactured by Axiotron.
Though the original ModBook and Axiotron are gone with the dust,
a new company called ModBook Inc has unveiled the ModBook Pro,
which is claimed by the company as “the world’s most powerful
and largest-screen tablet computer.”
Commenting at the launch of the tablet, Andreas E. Haas,
chief executive officer and chief technology officer of Modbook Inc.
was quoted saying,
“We’re thrilled about the performance edge our Nishara and Sanshara drives will give
Modbook Pro users. Once you’ve experienced the near instant-on startup and lightning
fast system performance of an SSD-powered Modbook Pro, you won’t ever go back.”

ModBook Pro sports a 13.3 inch display as the MacBook Pro with a resolution of
1280 x 800 pixels and touch input support with Wacom’s ForceGlass touch panel.
== Processor and OS ==
The tablet is equipped with a 2.5GHz dual core Intel’s 3rd generation Core i5 processor
or 2.9GHz dual core Intel Core i7 processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000 chipset,
Users of Modbook Pro can enjoy cross-compatibility between Mac OS X Mountain Lion
and Windows 7 platforms.

ModBook Pro has 8GB or 16GB RAM, 1TB hard disk storage and a 64GB solid-state
drive (configurable up to 480G
