Redwood GT-I8805: Samsung Device Running Tizen OS







Samsung, who was unapologetic about Galaxy S4 is once again trying to

differentiate itself from rest. Being a leader in the mobile handset business,

the South Korean giant is now expanding its horizons beyond Android. Tizen OS,

a Linux based open-source platform gets a high-profile hardware partner.

Samsung has unofficially confirmed their first handset running Tizen OS.

The reveal was made during Tizen Development conference.

The event was also a perfect platform to unveil Tizen OS 2.1. Like any other rumor,

the newer version was spotted too. Today is the last day of TDC 2013.

It is said that Intel and Samsung has plans to reveal something big.



Few days back, A Website came up with a report saying that two handsets

from Samsung - GT-I8000 and the GT-8805, would run Tizen OS. In the developing story,

a Samsung manufactured device was caught red handed on UAProf.

Currently dubbed "Redwood" will feature 4G LTE,

Cortex-A9 processor, and 720p HD display.
